We did a round up of eco-friendly play dough a while back, which was great fun. But we never really touched on other art supplies that are lurking in our cabinets. I'll admit I have my fair share of the good old traditional stuff like Crayola crayons, and markers. But when it comes to paint I was a little more leery of what was in them and whether rinsing that stuff down the sink was bad for the environment. more...

In the Eco-kids booth, I started playing with their Eco-Dough and never wanted to give it up. And I left the booth smelling of rosemary. I love Play-Doh, but this was a hugely appealing substitute in gorgeous vegetable-dyed colors. more...

Eco Kids USA's "Eco Dough" play dough is handmade by a very passionate and intense guy I met at the ABC Kids Expo and would have talked to all day if either of us had had the time. His company, which he runs with his wife, has the financial and moral support of Burt's-Bees-founder-turned-organic-clothing-company-Happy-Green-Bee-founder Roxanne Quimby. more...

My son has been playing with eco dough these last couple of weeks from eco-kids usa. Remember the vlog I did at the Go Green Expo with the owner of eco-kids usa? If not, watch it here!
Eco dough is the most requested activity of the day! We've also been fingerpainting and enjoying his bright orange creations. Both the eco fingerpaint and eco dough keep him occupied for at least a half hour or more! more...

The Green Mom Review August 27, 2008
Looking for a play dough that is all-natural and made without chemicals or artificial dyes? Want to support a mom of three with a passion for making safer products? Then look no further than Eco-Kids non-toxic, non-staining eco-dough. The vibrant colors of this play dough come from plant and vegetable extracts and for those with allergies, Eco-Kids comes in a gluten/soy/dairy-free variety, which we LOVE, especially since conventional play dough often contains wheat.
The Green Mom Review July 14, 2008
At this stage in the game, you're more concerned with what goes into your toddler's mouth than what comes out of it.
Eco-Kids's Eco-Dough is the perfect playmate for inquisitive model makers. Made from plant, fruit, and vegetable extracts, the colorful playstuff contains no chemicals, artificial dyes, or metals. Soy-, dairy-, and gluten-free versions cater to those with food allergies, while compostable cornstarch containers are toxin free.

Looking for a natural craft dough, but don't have the time to make it from scratch? Then check out the fabulous eco-dough by green art supplier Eco-Kids. This sculpting dough differs from the commercial stuff in several ways. It's hand crafted using all natural ingredients, resistant to drying out, richly colored using plant, fruit, and vegetable extracts, packaged in 100% compostable containers, and softer in texture, making it easier for little hands to handle. We also dig that Eco-Kids makes gluten, soy, or dairy free eco-dough to order depending on your child's dietary needs.
